Free Fallin'....

-What am I doing for Independence day? Well I am part of a campaign started by my friend Jeti It is called #GiveMe50. As we all know, Nigeria is turning 50 next week and I really am not in the mood for a celebration. This is because I do not feel I have anything to celebrate. Instead I am asking Nigeria to do ONE thing for me and maybe next yr I would have a cause to celebrate. I am asking for an end(or maybe less, or a start towards) to sexual abuse in homes. The house girls sleeping with the little boys-the uncles sleeping with the little girls-the oga's sleeping with the house girls-rape-date rapes, etc. I feel we as Nigerians never discuss it because it is such an offensive topic, BUT I am willing to be a spokes person on this issue and maybe in the future I would tell you guys why I am so passionate about this aspect of Nigeria's development. In the mean time go to #GIVEME50NIGERIA TO SUPPORT, LEARN JOIN, ETC.

-moving on....FYI--->Music is my therapy(after shopping) I listened to a Fab mixtape recently by the guys and girls over at We Plug G.O.O.D. Music and all I can say is Fabness all around..DOWNLOAD BY CLICKING THE LINK

-Also my friends at 360Nobs.com Have an amazing collection of OLD Nigerian music. Listening to the list brought about a feeling of nostalgia. iLove.

-Why do I feel like I am meant to be with an Igbo man for the rest of my life? I just have this preference for them. I cant even explain it.. actually I can, they are FINER and have MORE drive...#IMHO!...I Still love Yoruba, Edo, akwaibom, etc men tho...LOL!

-RE: Eddie Long issue, I am currently praying for the Body Of Christ aka The Church. I am also working on a post regarding a discussion that we had on twitter on Wednesday. I need to present my opinion with facts and proper findings so bare with me.

-ONFRIENDS: Today one year ago, I met one fo my closest friends right now. We had 'met' other times in the past but never said anything to each other. I remember him asking me for my pin at this event and weirdly enough I had lost my phone earlier that day. (HE STILL BELIEVES I JUST DIDN'T WANT TO GIVE IT TO HIM....HAHAHAHA) I Love this man(platonic ally) with all my heart, he makes me want to be a better person, teaches me about life, tells me when a guy is bullshitting me and who is for real, compliments me, helps me, is there for me DAILY, supplies me with indomie, amongst others. He has seen me cry more times in a yr than most of my other friends. I totally forgot it was our one yr 'anniversary' today. He called me at midnight and reminded me, while saying some of the most amazing things ever. I had tears in my eyes. I LOVE THIS MAN! Here is a toast to a true friend! Happy Anni T.D!(In your mind now, you will feel special...)

InTwitter Woes,

-Isn't it funny how people on twitter HYPE a song or artist so much that you believe they are the next best thing since slice bread. Then you 'logoff' go into the real world and talk about 'X' person and people are like 'huh? who is that?' and then you try to explain and they are like 'nope never heard of him/her'..BUAHAHAHAHA! Please Artists, producers, designers, etc promote yourself OUTSIDE twitter. There is a HUGE population that are not on there. They matter.

-I read a blog post(More like tirade) the other day calling out naija artist for "feeling themselves" because they don't reply to tweets and when they meet their fans in public they are rude...O_o...err OK buddy...I really don't want to go into that right now. Lets just say, I want to know the last time Keri Hilson, Rihanna, Kim or even Lil duval replied a regular fan.. double standards much?

-Happiness is a BEAUTIFUL THING!**HUGE GRIN**

Note: The campaign is not yet fully lunched yet. It would be launched officially on October 1st 2010and the website would have more information.

LOL>..before I thought you were igbo sef, so it seemed like a good alignment to be with an ottawa guy.

As per sexual abuse....it's true. Nigerians don't speak enough on that issue because it's embarrassing and goes against our claims to be self-righteous people. We're not. We're just people like other people in this world.

On your friend, that is so nice. I wish i had a male buddy like that without strings attached. All my guy friends seem to turn weird after a while. I need male (non-romantic) companionship.

Very nice initiative...

My dear, Igbo guys are it! I grew up in the south so I knew few people that were from the west, middle belt and north. But out of the few I knew compared with the igbo guys, I already knew what I wanted. Good thing was I am from a minority so I could choose where I would marry from. I support you if it is Igbo man you want to marry - you wont regret oh...lol.

The Eddie Long issue is disheartening/discouraging to the church. Yes we must continue to pray for the body of Christ because it is human being like me and you that make up the church, no matter what level they are at. And since I know this walk is between us and God, i would not look to any person as my role model - God has given us what and who we need.

I'm holding out for a Yoruba man myself but we'll see what God says!
